Passion for promarkers - Mega Christmas challenge...

At Passion for Promarkers this week, we are launching our very special “Mega Christmas challenge” which runs for a whole month and ends on 2nd January 2018!  Both design teams have worked extremely hard once again this year and deserve a little break to catch up on last minute gifts and cards.  However to make up for the lack of challenges we have some fantastic prizes up for grabs!  Our theme for the Mega Christmas challenge is “add a sentiment” which is such a simple theme for you so we expect lots of entries!!  You are welcome to make Christmas cards but as the challenge will still be running after the ‘BIG’ day you can of course make any type of creation as long as you follow the theme.  As time is precious for our DT at this time of year we are limiting the number of entries you can make to just 3 for this month long challenge.  Please remember to be eligible for our prizes you must use your promarkers, flex markers, tria markers, metallic or aqua markers.  Please can you help us by stating which Letraset products you have used on your creation i.e. ‘coloured with promarkers’ etc.  Thanks x x
So now for the exciting bit – the prizes!

Passion for Promarkers - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Good morning, Blogger buddies! We're sliding towards the end of November which can only mean one thing...it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...and this is the theme for our challenge this week over at Passion for Promarkers.  I am in the hostess chair, so will be visiting all of your blogs to see what fabulous creations you come up with for my theme!
We're being sponsored by the fabulous Digistamp Boutique who are offering one lucky winner a £10 voucher to their online store...
No automatic alt text available.
Don't forget, to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you MUST use your Winsor & Newton/Letraset products and follow the challenge theme...
...Once again, we were given the opportunity to choose an image to play with and I went for Partridge in a Pear Tree.  I decided to make something other than a card and went for a pretty Christmas wall hanging. I printed the partridge onto the background, plus a second image to decoupage the layers.  I coloured my image with Pro/Flexmarkers and was really pleased with how the pears turned out. I chopped up a couple of gold glittered snowflake decorations and glued around the edge, then added some small gold pearls and diamantes for a bit more bling. I finished off with a 'handmade with love' charm around the bird's neck and a coordinating ribbon to hang.
I hope you can find the time to join in with my challenge this week and look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations. Don't forget to pop over and leave my teamies some love for their amazing inspiration this week...
Crafty hugs,
Lisa x

Passion for Promarkers - Use your Die Cuts...

Good morning, Blogger buddies! It's Tuesday, so you know what that means, don't you?...yep, that's right!...it's time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers...and they don't get much easier than this! The lovely Julie is in the hostess chair and she's given us a fabulously easy theme of 'Use your Die Cuts' - so no excuse not to join in!  We're being sponsored by the wonderful Alicia Bel who is kindly offering one lucky winner a €10.00 voucher to their store...how cool is that?!
We were given the choice of an image to work with and I went with something a little different - Flamingo...I just love the sentiments that tell people to be themselves, like be a 'Unicorn in a field of horses', or in this case, 'Be a Flamingo in a flock of pigeons'...we all tend to try and fit in with others and society as a whole, but sometimes it's good to embrace our uniqueness and individuality!
I love all the pink tones on this card and the layout is a fab one that I found on Pinterest, plus I had to add in a couple of clouds to the mix...just because I could?!  The papers are a mix from A Year in Cards, Animal Antics and Say it with Flowers and I used plenty different die cuts to fit the theme...
I hope you can join in with our fun challenge this week...I am busy making for my upcoming Craft Fair at The Lodge, Llanrhaeadr next month...fingers crossed it will be a good weekend as my front room is getting full of crafty makes...not to mention the living room window sill...and sideboard! I'm going to have to look at putting them all in a box, or boxes...but then it's WHERE TO PUT THE BOX?!
Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday, whatever you're doing - I should be doing washing and ironing...shoulda, woulda, coulda?!
Crafty hugs,

Peg Angels...

Morning, Blogger buddies! For those of you that follow me on Facebook, you have probably already seen these little wooden peg angels, but I thought I would share on here for those of you that blog hop!...
I have been wanting to make some of these little peg angels since pinning this Pin, over a year ago...and this is what I came up with!  I think that they turned out rather cute but am wondering whether to sell them as is on the wooden base or to add eyelet hooks to the top for hanging on the tree?  What do you think?
No doubt they will be multiplying over the coming weeks, although one was sacrificed in testing as I tried to drill holes to add string arms and it didn't drill the hole tidy enough for me...not to mention that my skills with power tools, although capable, are somewhat slapdash and she ended up with one shoulder higher than the other!? So, she will become my own personal wonky angel!
Hope you like my little wooden creations - I am still in craft fair making mode, so my crafty table is full of everything you could imagine!
Have a wonderful Wednesday,
Hugs,

Passion for Promarkers - Halloween/Halloween colours...

Good morning, crafty friends! Wow! Where are these weeks going to?! Can't believe we're almost into November and the dreaded clock change happens this weekend...that means that the slope towards Christmas is getting very slippery and it'll be here before we know it! Hope you're all a little bit more organised than I ever am...Christmas cards normally get put together just in time for the last post and shopping gets finished the week before, if I'm lucky?!
But before all that, it's Tuesday...and you know by now what that means?!...Yep, that's right, it's the start of a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers! We had a FANTASTIC turn out for last week's challenge, so let's keep it up and get sharing those creations! It's the lovely Hazel in the hostess chair and she's given us a fitting theme for the time of year of 'Halloween or Halloween Colours' - there's lots of challenges running a similar theme at the moment, so don't forget to link up your creations!
Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo, who are offering one lucky winner a $12.00 voucher to their store...
We were lucky enough to choose a sponsor image to work with, so I picked Halloween Bat Mummy...
I used the papers from the October set of A Year in Cards and coloured up the cute Mummy and bats using my Pro/Flexmarkers. I kept the design quite simple, matting with black and just adding a few touches with the polka dot ribbon, string bow and black gems.
I hope you can find the time to join in with our fun challenge this week...just remember, to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you MUST use your Letraset/Winsor & Newton mediums and follow the challenge theme....I look forward to seeing all your wonderful creations and good luck!
Crafty hugs,
I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges :

Steampunk Key...

Good afternoon, crafty friends! Today I'm sharing something a little different! After visiting the Cogwarts Steampunk Spectacular last month and having a love of all things industrial, I decided to have a go at a Steampunk inspired piece...

I created this fabulous Altered Key Bag charm using and old key, various charms and a pretty rose glass bead.  I have discovered the joys of E6000 glue, which sticks just about anything to anything, so even added some diamante bling!
This Bag Charm is available to buy over at my Blog Shop for £6.95 including UK postage and packaging.

I'd also like to enter my charm into Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge which is Not a Card

Hope you like my Steampunk inspired piece and that you're not getting too blown about by ex-hurricane Ophelia!

And then there were two...

Good afternoon, Blogger buddies! Well, it happened!...I had to make another of these sweet reindeer...I mean, like I haven't got better things to do with my time?! There's a pile of ironing with my name on it and the bathroom could do with a scrub, but here I am with my needle and thread out again!...
I changed the materials up a bit and went with a silver bell to match the grey buttons...I may need to swap the bead eyes for buttons on the other deer, as I think I prefer the black - stands out a lot more?!...
So there we have it...a pair of reindeer! Think I need to step away from the sewing machine and go and do a bit of housework for the time being...odds are I'll get distracted by something or the other, but at least I'm showing willing?! Ha, ha!
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend - we're off to the Food Festival in Llangollen, so we'll be testing all the fabulous foodie treats and as a treat for hubby, I'm driving, which means he gets to test all the wine samples too! ;)

Tilda Reindeer...

Good afternoon, crafty buddies!  If you asked me 'What is your least favourite craft?'...I would probably answer, 'Sewing'...so why is it that more and more, I find myself picking up a needle and thread?!  I think the reason I would say that I don't like it, is that I don't have the same patience for sewing - I tend to do things roughly and just want to get the project finished!  But today was different!...Today I marked, pinned, used pinking shears and even pressed my pieces to create this pretty little reindeer...
The pattern is one from Crafts Beautiful HERE and I used some fabric that my lovely friend, Linda gave me last year from Aldi, of all places!...
The pattern is simple enough to follow, but I found it easier to draw around the templates onto pinned fabric, sew and then cut out - rather than cutting the pieces with a seam allowance.  The fiddliest (and most frustrating bit, in my opinion!) is sewing and attaching the ears, but I think he would look a bit sad without them!?!  I could do with a longer needle to attach the legs on with, as you have to go through both legs and body, but I managed...and I have to say, I am rather pleased with how my little deer turned out!  So much so, that I may even make another one?!
Hope you like my stitchy make and I'll be back soon to share some more fabric creations!
Hugs,
Lisa x

Passion for Promarkers - Embossing...

Happy Tuesday, dear crafty friends! You know what that means?...Yep, there's a new challenge starting over at Passion for Promarkers and we'd love it if you could join in with the fun! Our theme has been set by the lovely Sue who has chosen 'Embossing' - so we'd like you to create something using some form of embossing, this could be dry embossing with an embossing folder, etc, heat embossing using watermark ink and embossing powders or even embossing paste...
Our fabulous sponsor this week is Uniko, who are offering one lucky winner a stamp set of their choice (must be in stock)...
I went a bit off piste again for this one and decided to share another way of using your pens to create backgrounds and though I haven't done this for a while (and now wonder why the heck not?!) I love the effect that colouring embossing gives! I couldn't make up my mind which colours to go with, so ended up with a pastel rainbow of shades...
I am still very much in love with all things CAS, so I dug out my Spellbinders Curved Borders One and just added some grosgrain ribbon and a couple of small sentiment tags...sometimes less is definitely more! Oh, I did add some liquid pearls in Bisque to the embossed dots for a touch of shine.
Right off to shuffle some paper around to sort out for next workshop - Mam has just arrived, so I'd better get the kettle on!
Crafty hugs,
Lisa x

Passion for Promarkers - Rainbow/Rainbow colours...

Good morning, dear blogger buddies! Another Tuesday rolls around, which means it's time for a fab new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers! This week it's our lovely Shelly's who has set the challenge theme, though she is a little unwell at the moment and so Denise will be picking her Top 5 for this week...get well soon, Shelly! We have a fab theme of Rainbow or Rainbow colours - this can be an actual rainbow, or just use lovely rainbow colours on your creations. Whether they are pastel shades or vibrant rainbow colours, both are acceptabel, as you'll see from the DT's creations!
We're being sponsored by the wonderful Digi Stamp Boutique, who are offering one lucky winner a £10 voucher to their store...
The lovely Sally Ann gave us the choice of an image to play with and I went with Cute Unicorn...
I decided to go with pastel rainbow colours and kept the card quite soft and delicate...not like me?!...Of course, having opportunity, I added a couple of clouds...again, not like me?!!...The design was kept quite simple, as it seems to definitely be 'my' style these days...
I 3D decoupaged the unicorn, something else I seem to be doing a lot of lately and added a couple of the sparkly heart rhinestones, coz you've gotta have a bit of bling!
I hope you can join in with our fun challenge this week and look forward to seeing your interpretations of the theme! Don't forget to hop over to see what my talented teamies have been creating for your inspiration and if you want to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you need to use your Letraset/Newton & Windsor products...

Passion for Promarkers - Let it Shine...

Good morning, Blogger buddies! Well, it seems that there are forces working against me at the minute...firstly, my PC decided that despite having it's hard drive changed and working for a few days, it had done enough computing and was going to switch itself off...permanently! After a bit of investigation work and testing, it turns out that my memory controller has given up the ghost...I sometimes wonder if this has happened to me?!...and that I need a new motherboard and processor...
So, I am currently using my laptop as my main computer, which admittedly is better than nothing, but it's just not the same when everything is set out differently and you have to go about things in a whole new way...it's a bit like losing a comfy pair of slippers or having to give up that old threadbare cardigan that you love...
But I'm still here (and hopefully that's the main thing)...and it's Tuesday!...so you know what that means...it's time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers! Now it seems that our challenge for this week is set by the lovely Nic (aka Coops) who has given us a nice, easy theme of Let it Shine - so we want to see all those magpie things like mirror card, glitter, Glossy Accents, metal...but then those forces came into play again and somehow I managed to make a card using our next challenge theme, despite the fact that I had checked the folders to see what the theme was and used the sponsor image and everything...yes, everything but the right theme!! So this creation came into being at about 11pm last night...
I went a bit off piste with this one and decided that, rather than colouring an image, I would use my markers to create a patterned background.  I used Blue Pearl, Vanilla, Sandstone and a Blender pen to make this plaid...and then spent this morning panicking, wondering if it is okay for me to put in a card without a coloured image...if so, I'll be back later with another card to share?!
For my shine, I used a lovely silver glitter card as a matt and for the large star die cut.  I also used a silver glitter ribbon, but it doesn't show very well, a few coloured diamantes and a pretty glitter heart added a bit more bling...
Right, I'm leaving it there before anything else decides to go against me and I look forward to seeing what you create to join in with our fun challenge this week...
Don't forget, to be in with a chance of winning the prize...which by the way is a fantastic £15.00 voucher for Dies to Die For...you must use your Letraset/Winsor & Newton mediums and follow the challenge theme...

Lisa x

Passion for Promarkers - Make it digital...

Good morning, Blogger friends! I am running behind today as we decided to take Daisy out again over the weekend - we had a fabulous family time in Yorkshire, visiting lots of interesting places and walking for miles! Unfortunately, this means I am now playing catch up and so am here to share my DT card for this week's new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers!...
It's the lovely Marie in the hostess chair and she's chosen a fab, easy theme of 'Make it Digital', so this can be a digital image, digital papers or sentiment and remember you can make any type of creation, not just a crad! We are being sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps who are offering one lucky winner a $12.00 voucher to their store...
Don't forget, to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you must use your Letraset/Winsor & Newton mediums and follow the challenge theme...
This card came in the Top 3 at Cardz 4 Galz - thank you, ladies!
For my card I used my Plush Pals Lion as a digistamp and coloured him up using my Pro/Flexmarkers...
I 3D decoupaged my lion for a bit more depth, then finished off with a few digital paper banners, pearls, some polka dot ribbon and a hand doodled border...
(Here you can see the decoupaged layers)
It has to be short and sweet from me today as I have another load of washing to put on, plus a pile of ironing and trying to get the house back into some sort of order...I hope you can find the time to join in with our fun challenge this week and look forward to seeing what you all create...
Crafty hugs,
I'd like ot neter my card into the following challenges :
Animal Kingdom until 31st
Cats or Kittens closes tomorrow
(I hope my lion counts under your challenge theme, but if not, don't worry about it!)
Use 2 or more different embellishments until 31st
(I've used ribbon and pearls)

Passion for Promarkers - Pretty Pastels...

Good morning, dear Blogger buddies! Well, I didn't know if I would be with you this week for the start of my new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers, as I had a bit of an issue with my hard drive dying! Thankfully, I have a wonderful in house technician in the form of my hubby, who is an absolute whizz with all things electrical and managed to get me back up and running again...
...So this week, it's my turn to host over at Passion for Promarkers and I've given you all a nice, easy theme of 'Pretty Pastels'...those of you who know me will know that I love pastel colours and even when I am trying to colour boldly, my creations tend to end up on the softer side, so i thought it would be quite an apt theme. We're being sponsored by Little Miss Muffet Stamps who are offering one lucky winner a $6.00 voucher to spend in their online store...
We were lucky enough to get an image to play with and I chose the super sweet Puddle Jack...
I coloured him up with my Pro/Flexmarkers and used a combination of papers from my stash including, pale green gingham from the Calla Lily set and pink polka dot from the Hibiscus set of Say it with Flowers and the Baby stripe from Another Play on Words...
I matted the image onto an XCut scalloped square and added pearls and gems around the edge for a bit of bling. The printed insert reads '...whatever the weather' to tie in with Jack and his umbrella.
Got to go and do the dreaded food shop in a bit, but I've promised the little man that we'll go out for lunch first, then I need to get my head into gear for Sincerely Yours papercraft at Leigh Show...ON SATURDAY!! Aaarghhh!!
Hope you can join in with my challenge this week and I look forward to seeing and commenting on all your lovely creations.  Have a terrific Tuesday, whatever you're doing...

Passion for Promarkers - Fun in the Sun...

...If only?! It seems as though the sun has forgotten how to shine at the moment and our days consist of bright spells and humdinger showers! Why does the Summer seem to end as soon as the school holidays begin?!...
Anyway, 'Fun in the Sun' is the theme of our new challenge starting at Passion for Promarkers today, which is being hosted by the lovely Julie. We're being sponsored by Sasayaki Glitter who are offering one lucky winner a digital image of their choice from their online store...
We were lucky enough to get an image to play with and I went for the ever so sweet Amy in the Garden...

I decided to be a bit ambitious and cut around the image for the front of the card - a bit of a fiddle, but worth it for the end result!...
I used the Frog cloud paper from Animal Antics in the background and added a few more clouds in die cut format...as you can never have too many?! The rainbow is an embellishment from Animal Antics and I created the sentiment in PS...
I coloured up a few copies of the image, so that I could decoupage up some of the layers and paper pieced her dress.
I hope you can join in with our challenge this week ad look forward to seeing what you have all created - don't forget to hop over to the Passion for Promarkers blog to see what my talented teamies have created for your inspiration and to be in with a chance of winning the prize, you MUST use your Letraset / Winsor & Newton mediums and follow the challenge theme.
